This shirt project was supposed to be a little personal side project. It was never meant to be a full blown business. The truth is that I just wanted some original “Filipino” shirts of my own. I’ll put some up for sale on a website and maybe some people would also order a shirt. So far, 2 shirts have been sold. Not groundbreaking #’s but the response has been great outside in the real world. I try to wear my shirts at friend and family occasions and busy shopping areas. I’ve been stopped in public a few times by fellow Filipinos asking about the shirt I’m wearing. That along with friends and family wanting to buy some helped me decide to see where this project can go. After all, most startup businesses are marketed by friends and family. If they won’t buy your stuff, why would a stranger?
